About

Nutrition That Makes Sense in Real Life

For Neha, nutrition has never been about simply following a list of foods or chasing the latest diet trend. It is about understanding food, understanding your body and learning how to make healthier choices that can actually fit into everyday life.

With an M.Sc. in Dietetics and B.Sc. in Nutrition, along with extensive experience across nutrition education, wellness programs, research, teaching and food-related initiatives, Neha has spent more than 15 years exploring the many dimensions of nutrition.

Her work has taken her from academic classrooms and research projects to corporate wellness sessions, workshops, cooking demonstrations and community nutrition initiatives. Today, through HealthWise by Neha, she brings this experience together to create practical, engaging and evidence-informed learning experiences around nutrition and wellness.

Neha's Journey

A Lifelong Relationship with Food & Nutrition

Neha’s connection with food began long before it became her profession. Growing up in a family of food lovers, she was introduced early to the joy, curiosity and culture surrounding food. Her interest eventually evolved into a deeper curiosity about what makes food nutritious, how it affects our health and how healthier choices can still be enjoyable.

That curiosity led her to pursue a career in Food & Nutrition. She completed her Master’s in Dietetics with a University Gold Medal, and her professional journey has since included nutrition education, teaching, research, corporate wellness, recipe development, workshops and lifestyle-focused programs.

Over the years, she has worked with diverse audiences — from students and families to working professionals, corporates and community groups — helping make nutrition easier to understand and more relevant to everyday life.

From Learning Nutrition to Helping Others Learn It

Neha’s journey has never been limited to one role. She has worked as a Head Dietitian, served as visiting faculty at colleges affiliated with SNDT University, coordinated postgraduate nutrition programs, contributed to curriculum development and guided students through nutrition research.

Her experience across these areas has shaped an approach that combines scientific understanding with practical education.

Nutrition & Wellness Philosophy

Healthy Eating Should Be Practical, Not Complicated

I, Neha believe that healthy living should not feel like a punishment or a temporary project. Nutrition is a part of everyday life — from what we cook at home and what we choose at the grocery store to how we eat at work, travel, celebrate and manage busy schedules.

01

UNDERSTAND

Build a clear understanding of nutrition and how food affects everyday health.

02

QUESTION

Look beyond trends, claims and assumptions and ask the right questions.

03

CHOOSE

Make informed food and lifestyle choices that suit real-life needs.

04

PRACTISE

Turn knowledge into practical actions and everyday habits.

05

SUSTAIN

Build healthier habits that can realistically become part of everyday life.

Rather than simply telling people what they should eat, Neha focuses on helping them understand why a choice matters and how they can make better decisions in real-life situations. Because sustainable health is built through knowledge, awareness and everyday choices — not through short-term fixes.

Connection with Snack Right

The Entrepreneurial Chapter of Neha's Nutrition Journey

Neha is also the founder of Snack Right, a healthy snacking venture that grew from her personal interest in food, nutrition and the need for more meaningful choices in the snacking space. Her experience of examining food labels and questioning the nutritional claims made by packaged foods strengthened her interest in creating healthier and more thoughtful food options.

Snack Right became one expression of that philosophy — bringing together her understanding of nutrition with her passion for food and innovation.

Today, HealthWise by Neha represents the broader educational and wellness ecosystem built around her experience as a nutrition professional — bringing together her work in nutrition education, wellness, workshops, programs and corporate engagement, with the goal of helping people become more informed and confident about their health choices.

Knowledge, Research & Publications

Beyond the Classroom

Neha’s experience also includes nutrition research and knowledge sharing. She has contributed to research projects involving school mid-day meal programs, urban nutrition and nutrition data collection, including collaborative projects involving academic institutions, government bodies and international partners.

She has also contributed a chapter to Festive Foods of India: Textbook of Indian Knowledge System and has written and contributed nutrition-related articles to publications including Food & Beverage News, Ingredients South Asia and newsletters associated with nutrition and food science organisations.

This combination of academic learning, research, teaching and practical experience continues to shape the way she approaches nutrition education.
